India remains the largest lentil importer for another year in 2021, third year in a row, albeit the net import volume is lowest compared to the previous two years.

The country imported 686 KMT of lentils in first 11 months of 2021 and is estimated to have received another 45 KMT in December. However, its imports for the year 2020 and 2019 were 1.06 MMT and 822 KMT respectively.
