On October 1, 2025, a partial shutdown of the U.S. federal government began, suspending operations at certain government agencies. This disruption affected Statistics Canada’s ability to compile and publish Canadian international merchandise trade data. Consequently, the September 2025 trade data, originally scheduled for release on November 4, 2025, was delayed until December 11, 2025. In addition, release dates for upcoming months have been rescheduled. International merchandise trade data for October 2025 will be published on January 8, 2026; November 2025 on January 29, 2026; December 2025 on February 19, 2026; and January 2026 on March 12, 2026.
