India's pulse exports have been steadily increasing, according to the Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics' (DGCIS) November 2025 export data. The most recent data highlights the sector's outstanding performance, as India's pulse exports reached a record high in 2025, a significant milestone for the nation's agricultural trade.
In November 2025, pulse exports totalled 109 thousand metric tons (KMT), a significant increase of almost 60% from the 68 KMT exported in October.
The total amount of pulses exported between January and November of 2025 was 876 KMT. This is a significant improvement over the 675 KMT exported during the same time last year, and it also exceeds the 740 KMT exported during the entire previous calendar year. The data unequivocally shows that India's pulse shipments have been steadily increasing throughout 2025.
With a total import of 195 KMT between January and November, China was the biggest importer of Indian pulses in terms of export destinations. With 147 KMT in imports, the United Arab Emirates came in second. Bangladesh came in third with 142 KMT. These numbers demonstrate India's increasing exports and growing presence in important global pulse markets.
