Brazil Will Grow Record Wheat Crop

CONAB released the latest report on Brazilian crops on July 07, 2022. According to this report, wheat acreage was increased for 2022.

Brazilian farmers will plant wheat on 2.9 million hectares of land in 2022, compared to 2.7 million last year. This is already a record, since 1990, when Brazilian farmers planted wheat on 3.2 million hectares.

The country's wheat production is estimated at 9 MMT in 2022, an increase of 17.6% compared to last year. Wheat yield is expected at 3,092 kg/ha, compared to 2,803 kg/ha last year.

Parana and the Rio Grande do Sul are the two major states producing wheat in Brazil, which covered around 90%.
