Statistics Canada (StatsCan) released a crop production forecast for 2022/23 on 29 August 2022. Canadian production is expected at 2,906 KMT of Lentils, 134 KMT of Chickpeas, and 3,610 KMT of Dry Peas.

Compared to drought hit last year, the country's 2022/23 lentil production is estimated up by 80.9%, Chickpeas up by 75.6%, and dry peas up by 59.9%.
