United States soybean export in peak time (October to February)

The United States holds a prominent position among the world's top producers and exporters of soybeans. Between October 2022 and February 2023, the country shipped out a massive 41.715 million metric tons (MMT) of soybeans to various parts of the globe, representing a significant increase from the 39.520 MMT exported during the same period in the previous year. This remarkable feat underscores the country's significant role in the global soybean market and highlights its capacity to sustainably meet the growing demand for this essential commodity.

As the leading importer of US soybeans, China continues to be the primary market for this agricultural commodity. Between October 2022 and February 2023, which marks the current season of 2022/23, the United States shipped a total of 27.994 million metric tons (MMT) of soybeans to China. This figure represents an impressive 18% increase in export volume when compared to the same period of the previous season of 2021/22. The significant growth in US soybean exports to China underscores the crucial role that the Asian country plays in driving global demand for this essential commodity.
